Exceptionally fine mid 20th CE wedding cover from the Zhuang ethnic group, Guzhou This piece is in perfect condition and is composed of silk floss on all handspun cotton using the supplementary weft embroidery technique. With the migration of rural young women moving to the “big city” to get factory jobs, this art has all but died out. Dimensions: 104cm/41in x 156cm/61in. I have 30 pieces from this area and this is by far the best.

4061 Good small stone (probably basalt) scraper/adz from the Maori people- very hard, cannot be scratched with stainless steel. Polished on one side only with nice sharp edge. This should predate European contact since utilitarian objects like this would have been replaced by metal materials, so this is dated of 1300CE-1800CE.
