6271 Rare 4.9cm/1.9in Thai stoneware bowl from the Sankampaeng kiln circa 15th/16th CE with two fish in the center and scalloped cavetto, there is well done repaired chip on the inner rim noted last enlargement. Circa Jiaqing to Daoguang reigns (1789–1850). 1# Has an original firing crack on the corner inside the well but still functional. Ikat sarong from the upland Karen (Pwo or Sgaw) ethnic group in Northern Thailand. This is woven from all handspun cotton thread and natural dyes. Acquired in the 1980s, it has never been used and as such may be described as being in pristine original condition. The cloth coming these people nowadays, are nowhere near this quality.
