Good Tang Dynasty straw colored pottery camel with original white pigment. This piece has been repaired at the body, neck and legs (as most always are). There was layer of mud put on this to hide the repair and I have removed as a much as possible just so you know it’s there but is not glaringly obvious. Nice size, this animal embodies the spirit of the ancient “Silk Road”, if not Xi Jin Ping’s “One Belt One Road Initiative”. H: 32.5cm/12.8in and L: 28cm/11in

Special Offer: Was $550 now $350.USD. Stunning wooden statue of a court official or Taoist deity circa Ming Dynasty. He has a fierce countenance and although small has an imposing presence. Please examine images carefully; this has some fire damage as well as damage to arms. There is some compacted soil under the legs as well as having an unusually light weight which leads me to think this an excavated piece. There are traces of white gesso primer as well as small areas of green an...

Very fine polished shouldered stone axe from the late Neolithic Period, found in Nan Province Thailand near the Lao Border. I acquired a collection of these a couple of years ago and have been holding this one back since was the best of the lot. The stone is very hard and cannot be scratched on the polished surface with stainless steel and is in very good condition with only a couple chips on the softer part of a still serviceable cutting edge. This piece feels good in the hand and i...

Rare Yue glazed, four lugged jar with attractive “iron” spot from the Western Jin Dynasty (265-420). This piece is fully glazed on the outside with some degradation on the inner mouthrim annd shoulder, having said this the glaze is stable with no fritting- there is one tiny chip on edge of mouthrim and a firing chip on the base, which I would deem insignificant on this type of piece. The concave bottom and lack of firing support marks are indicative that this was from a Norther...

Exceptionally rare, grey pottery, recumbent tiger, circa Han Dynasty. So far this is the only one I have ever seen, outside of a book. This piece is in excellent condition, no damage with traces of original white pigments. Rather than a depicting the tiger as some ferocious predator it portrays it with a friendly expression.
