Beautiful circa 600CE to 700CE Pyu coins. The larger coin has a srivatsa (temple), on one side and celestial symbol and rising sun, on the other- 1/2 unit sterling quality silver. This coin has been punctured and at one time had small silver loop soldered to it. The smaller one, also pierced, has a bhadrapitha – pedestal for a deity and srivatsa, and is from Sri Ksetra. ¼ unit D: 8mm. Glass shards excavated in Afghanistan that have been knapped and drilled into pendants/beads. Many have an intense opalescent (dichroic?) patina. These out from Afghanistan via China. Nice strand of Kushan/Bactrian of mixed stone (mostly carnelian) beads. I acquired these along with coins dating from 1st- 4th CE from the same site in North West Pakistan, so these can be dated no later than 1500 years old. Han Dynasty Vase Special Sale Item: Was $800. now $300. Classic Hu shaped jar with thick lead green glaze and impressed “taotie” masks on the sides. A beautiful piece in excellent condtion with no damage, there is one kiln flaw on the side where a spot of glaze came off during firing. Lovely small three legged cooking vessel from the Han Dynasty. The legs are in the shape of small bears and the handles on the lid seem to resemble wing tips. There is a lot of restoration on this piece in the cooking basin, one the legs has been reattached, so please view the enlargements carefully. There is some warpage to the lid as well, but it is the original one. D: 12.4cm/4.9in and H: 10.4cm/4.4in.

Very rare Han Dynasty four bodied Ding. The four basins was cast all as a single piece using the the lost “wax casting method” which is a testament to their skill and technique. Encrusted with heavy azurite and malachite verdigris- aside from a couple of small holes is intact, there is no breakage. The entire piece has a diagonal Width: 30cm/11.8in.
