Rare Northern Song Dynasty, porcelaneous saucer with abstract incised floral medallion. This is a Qingbai type, produced at Jingdezhen which, at the time was trying to replicate the Ding wares from the Northern Kilns. This has an ivory colored glaze with a green tint. The Southern Ding classification is fairly recent. In the past very high quality pieces porcelaneous, off white pieces surfaced from time to time but no one was really sure where to put them...

Fine and rare Ming Dynasty, emulating white Jade, belt fastener made of glass. There are a few tiny chips but they are too small to photograph. Glass artifacts in good condition are more difficult to find than Jade given its fragility. In the center there is a “Shou”-Chinese longevity character, surrounded by cloud scrolls and a meander pattern on the perimeter. L: 6cm/2.3in and W: 4.6cm/1.8in. See last enlargements for reference from Simon Kwan’s: Early Chinese Glass, pgs...

325.oo Rare Yue glazed, four lugged jar with attractive “iron” spot from the Western Jin Dynasty (265-420). This piece is fully glazed on the outside with some degradation on the inner mouthrim, having said this the glaze is stable with no fritting- there is one tiny chip on edge of mouthrim and a firing chip on the base, which I would deem insignificant on this type of piece...

Special offer: were $700 each, now $700 the pair. Extremely rare matched pair of large (possibly one of a kind), Liao Dynasty, greenish brown (khaki) glazed Gangwa ware jars from the Chifeng Kiln, Inner Mongolia. The Liao were a non Han culture that ruled in Manchuria and parts of Mongolia 907-1125 CE. This shape is fairly unique to Liao ceramics as it seeks to emulate Turkic West Asian metal work drinking vessels...

Good strand of quartz crystal beads (and a few carnelians) excavated from the Tak Burial site near. Mae Sot along the Thai/Burmese border. Artifacts from this dig are from 14th/16th CE due to datable ceramics that were found in the same strata, but having said this, these are much older, as similar beads and have been found in the Ban Chiang and Lopburi (Bronze Age sites) and have been traded in the region for at least 2000 years...
