Rare antique two paneled bed cover from the Daizu ethnic minority of Southern Yunnan, China. An unusual piece with very fine silk embroidery and woven field with what may be hemp/ramie handspun threads, as it has a slightly coarser and stiff feel than standard cotton thread. I would date this circa 19th century with natural dyes. There are small holes and tears throughout the piece as to be expected in a delicate old textile from a tropical climate. L: 120cm/47in and W: 69cm/27in.

Quirky miniature alter piece from a Chinese ethnic minority. This sourced in Yunnan in the late 1980s, and the item itself is circa 19th century. I am inclined to say this is a Miao/Hmong or Yao/Mien item. This intricately carved as a small table with a key fret pattern and “dou” shaped vessel with animal feet and lotus leaf pattern on top. A “dou” is used for holding ceremonial offerings to a deity or heaven in Chinese culture...

Old hand carved wooden ink pad box circa first half 20th century. The ink has long ago dried up. Nice natural patina. L: 7.2cm/2.9in x W: 5.8cm/2.3in x H: 3.2cm/1.3in.
