Very fine purse from the Yao (aka Mien) people of Yunnan or Laos. This is piece is semi antique circa 80 years old composed of all hand spun cotton, silk and red wool/bast fiber margin at the top (the exception would be the decorative ribbons which are commercial). This style of purse is pictured in Jess Pourret's The Yao but I’ll have to say the embroidery on this much better. Also rare is the use of natural dyes and hand loomed strap. Delightful bamboo fly whisk handle pendant from the Hani (Akha) minority, Yunnan. China. Great patina with intricate designs consisting of double dorjes, various flowers and seal script Chinese characters- the silver band at the top is new and the piece is circa 90 -110 years old. All natural dyes and hand spun materials (silk weft embroidery on cotton field), circa late 19th century or early 20th century. Small wide mouth grey pottery jar with “soy” brown glaze from an unknown Southern Kiln. The glaze resembles Jizhou ware. Circa Song Dynasty or earlier, the body is quite thinly potted with delicate lugs near the mouth. There is fritting on the mouth and handle but no cracks or chips. H: 9cm/3.5in and D: 6cm/2.3in.

Good Ming Dynasty celadon saucer with impressed floral medallion in center. This piece has warm olive color to it- a nice heavy piece with a good shiny glaze; possibly meant to be a brushwasher. There was an “overdone” restoration that covered 8cm on the rim which I removed and redid with a basic gold leaf and lacquer repair covering only 1.3cm- noted in enlargements. D: 14.8cm/5.8in and H: 3.8cm/1.5in.

Very rare Northern Song green sancai glazed incense burner (without the base). Impressed floral pattern on key fret background with lovely lotus bud finial. Three glaze frites on the upper edge otherwise good condition with the shop maker’s name “Sen Gei” written inside. Traces of soot on the top indicate some usage, possibly not originally a burial piece. Wood stand included. H: 13.5cm/9.2in and D: 11cm/4.2in
