Quirky old Lao Buddha depicted as a Royal Crowned image. Traces of original red and black lacquer with a more recent application of gold leaf. These were carved by rural people as a means of giving thanks, making merit or making a wish. Carved from teak it dates circa late 19th- early 20th century. Condition as pictured. H: 28cm/11in and W; 9.5cm/3.8in.
