Old Lao Buddha depicted in typical bhumiparsa mudra. Traces of original red and black lacquer with a more recent application of gold leaf. These were carved by rural people as a means of giving thanks, making merit or making a wish. Carved from teak they date circa late 19th- early 20th century. Condition as pictured. H: 29cm/11.3in and W: 10.3cm/4in.
