Beautiful old classic Lao shoulder clothe, all natural dyes with hand spun silk threads. I picked this up on my first trip to Laos in the mid 1990s, at the Talat Sao Market, Vientiane and would date this to the 1970/80s. The fabric is incredibly soft and supple and may be worn (it is amazingly warm) as a scarf or hung as wall art. It has a few loose threads on the selvedge but otherwise in excellent condition with no holes or tears. W: 38cm/15in and L: 243cm/8ft...

Ten pieces of natural coral, jewelry quality. I collected these over a period of years in Northern Thailand originating from various hilltribe ethnic groups. Difficult to date as some pieces have natural wear in the holes while others seem to be more freshly drilled. Excellent color and may be worn singly or as a group. Approximately 30 grams total. Scale in last enlargement. Free shipping via Hong Kong Registered Airmail.

Collection of five cigarette silver lighters from the 1950s and 1960s. With Buddhist iconography they all work but have a minor dings and knocks consistent with age. These were made in Bangkok, Thailand- it is worth noting, this standard of craftsmanship is no longer being done. Please note that they cannot be sent via airmail as they are viewed by “some governments” as incendiary devices (ahem)...

Rare old Cambodian “siri” box. This piece predates the Khmer Rouge regime and circa 60 or 70 years old. In good condition, there is no significant damage other expected signs of use and wear. In recent years Khmer lacquerware is making a comeback, however most of this is used for “home décor” export, as far as I know no one has currently resurrected this craft for common household use. D: 25cm/9.9in and W: 12cm/4.8in.

Rare and unique large Penan mat with human headed snake spirit motif. This piece was sourced from an Iban longhouse in Kampong Yamok, Kapit District, Sarawak. The pattern is distinctly Penan suggesting that it was either a barter item or that the original owner, an Iban man, had a Penan wife. I bought this in 2001 in Sarawak. This kind of mat would not have been used for daily use or sat upon but would be hung up for oracle ceremonies...

Lovely old Burmese lacquer box with a finely woven lattice work insert lid (I assume to keep the flies off your “tiffin”).
