Rare strand of quartz crystal beads (and a few carnelians) excavated from the Tak Burial site near, Mae Sot along the Thai/Burmese border. Artifacts from these digs are from 14th/16th CE due to datable ceramics that were found in the same strata, but having said this, these are much older, as similar beads and have been foun...

Collection of six tin and lead alloy coins from the Mon kingdom of Pegu, Burma now (Bago, Myanmar) circa 1500CE. There are 6 pieces all in excellent condition. Two have Chinthe images (Burmese mythical lions), two are peacocks, one has a Shankha (one of the eight auspicious symbols of Buddhism) and one with what looks to be a spider. The Shankha is very rare, I cannot find a published reference to this coin from this era, although the earlier Pyu culture had these on their silver coins. I ac...

Special offer: was $350-now $200. Classic greenware ewer with “yue” type glaze, from a southern kiln, most likely Zhejiang, possibly Fujian. I tend to lean to Zhejiang because of hardness of the clay. There is a repair on the rim and a few tiny chips at the end of the spout as well as fritting on one side of the body- all noted in enlargements. H: 17cm/6.8in and W: 12cm/4.8in.

Unusual pottery bowl with hand molded snake handle. I cannot find any pieces similar in style to this although the reddish clay and heavy potting are reminiscent of Hongshan pottery. This came out of China and has a good petrichor and water absorption on the base, very old- at least 2000 to 3000 years old but probably older. W: 14cm/5.5in and H: 12cm/4.7in.
