Southern Song Dynasty, Jian type, temokku glazed bowl from the Dongzhang or Minhou kilns in Fujian province. Beautiful hare’s fur markings with some metallic iron oxide patina. There is quite a bit of kiln grit on the surface of the glaze but in terms of damage there is only one shallow chip on the mouthrim edge noted in last enlargement. This was recovered from the Tinghai Lianjiang wreck off the coast of Fujian. I acquired it about 20 years ago. D: 11.3cm/4.5in and H: 4cm/1.5in.
