Up for auction is an antique Chinese Qing Dynasty 19th century Han Chinese woman's surcoat, shiny midnight blue silk ground embroidered with 8 roundels - Executed with couched gold wrapped threads & Peking knots " Forbiden stictch"; sleeve bands are embroidered with figures and couched with gold threads; 4 large gold plated ball-and-loop toggle buttons; backed with light blue silk lining. The robe is overall in very good condition, stainings lining and splits near the edges of sleeve bands ( See detail picture ). Measurements : Top collar to bottom hem 43", Sleeve to sleeve 60" stretch, sleeve width 19", width between arm pits 28" narrowest, width of hem 38" widest.
