Up for sale is a large antique Chinese embroidered silk panel taken from the front and back of a red dragon robe, Qing dynasty; very intricate embroideries executed in Peking knot/forbidden stitch, gold wrapped thread couching, and other embroidery techniques; six 5-claw dragons & medallions with Shou characters couched from gold threads; together with clouds, bats, peonies, sea waves, and other buddhist auspicious objects. overall the panel is in good condition, repaired at one time, fraying, mainly the lower left corner- below the left profile dragon, and stainings, some loose threads and loss to embroideries in a few areas. Otherwsie, it's a amzing piece of art work.
