Large Momoyama influenced tataki paddled Oribe vase with large lugs applied on the neck. The pot was fired on wads, which were ground off and the areas are smooth to the touch. This piece has a great deal of volume and is much larger than the dimensions imply.

This classic mizusashi has everything one could want from Karatsu; a timeless form, a perfect nuka surface and exceptional E-Garatsu style iron underglaze painting by a master potter and arguably the greatest living Karatsu artist. This pot could easily be a 17th century piece though the unmistakable mark of a master 20th century potter is ever present. The beautiful Karatsu chirimen kodai is what sets this pot apart from most and Tanaka Sajiro creates a foot like no other.

Large and impressive take-no-zu style bamboo vase by Mino veteran and Oribe specialist; Sato Kazuji. Exceptional throwing, modeling and spatula work define this dynamic vase and what the photos fail to capture is the beautiful surface iridescence about the rich green Oribe glaze.

This vase measures 11.5" x 5" and is in perfect condition with the original signed box.

Large, totemic Shigaraki vase by veteran master craftsman, Tani Seiuemon I. This impressive and well fired Shigaraki hanaire was thrown in two sections and joined to create the vase and foot of this pot made out of wonderful kinose clay from the region.

This vase measures 12.75" x 5" and is in perfect, original condition with tea cloth and original signed box.
