Unique and bold Raku influenced Kyogenhakama chawan by Nyoitera Haryo of the Nyoisanzin temple kiln and possibly dating to the late Edo or Meiji period. This Raku influenced chawan exhibits a generous form flanked by a series of circular impression over which a Raku glaze that has transmuted to a wide range of colors. It is a striking pot and would be a welcome addition for any collector or tea ceremony practitioner.

This chawan is in good, used condition and measures 5.25" x 3.25" and comes complete with its rare signed storage box.
