Very nice catalogue of the works of Tomimoto kenkichi, Ningen Kokuho. Tomimoto was Living National Treasure of Japan for his meticulously painted enamel porcelains. Along with Arakawa Toyozo, Hamada Shoji, Ishiguro Munemaro, Bernard Leach and Kawai Kanjiro, he represented a group that fought to preserve the traditional crafts of Japan.
This retrospective catalogue (1991) is in very good condition, ex-libris, small bump to the spine and measures 9.5" X 7.5" and is fully illustrated in color and black & white throughout it's 186 pages. This catalogue illustrates Tomimoto's wide array of designs and forms, including; hachi, tsubo, hanaire, mizusashi, chawan and many more.
