A Korean, floral-form, moulded brush from the Goryeo dynasty; C12th. Delicately potted with incised decoration to give the impression of a lotus leaf. Covered over-all with a thin celadon glaze, except for the remnants of three kiln supports to the outer base. A beautiful item for the Scholar's desk. 8cm diameter. Condition; with a well executed Kintsugi repair to the rim. A couple of abrasions to the glaze on the rim.

A beautiful blue and white Transitional period bowl (about 1640), with an apocryphal Chenghua mark to the base. The cobalt blue color is very deep and attractive, painted with fishermen in a river scene. It is 22cm in diameter. Condition is good; there is a tight hairline to the rim. A Korean, buncheong, white glazed bowl; C15-16th, Joseon dynasty. The bowl is covered with white slip to it's interior; the slip terminates short of the foot. The whole was then covered in a clear glaze, which shows a green-blue colour where it has pooled. Five stacking support marks may be seen to the interior of the bowl. A Chinese, bulb-mouthed, brown glazed vase from the Tang dynasty. The coarse stoneware body of this small vase was initially covered by a white slip, which terminated some way above its flat foot. The white slip was then covered by an attractive brown-teadust coloured glaze. Vases of this type have been attributed to the Xing kiln, Hebei, during the early Tang dynasty; see photo. A rare item. A large Korean celadon jar, with incised decoration of floral sprays. Goryeo dynasty (12th-13th century) Of high-shouldered sinuous form, moulded with four lugs, incised on the body with four lotus sprays and with a collar of auspicious fungus heads below the short, upright rim, the whole applied with a glossy celadon glaze. Dimensions; 32 cm tall Condition. With good glaze condition, there is an old repair as a large section of the foot has been re-attached...

A Chinese, amber glazed, Hu jar which follows the archaic bronze form; Han dynasty. The low-fired lead glaze was further embelished with a green swirling decoration to the shoulder of the jar.
