These vintage Taxco Silver clip earrings by Miguel Melendez have crushed green stone inlay in a camo pattern along with open work.
Marks: M inside a C. Taxco. Sterling. Eagle 3.
Measurements: 25.26mm | .99” round, 2.74mm thick (slightly concave).
Weight: approx. 5.10 grams each.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition, clips work well and are hold firm.

Melendez was a known Silver Artist who began his career working for William Spratling at Taller de Las Delicias and after, for Los Castillo for many years before joining Margot at Margot de Taxco where he became silversmith workshop manager. He left Margot in 1953 to build his own firm.
