A perfect miniature, vintage 1940’s sterling silver box with hinged top and a small amethyst round bezel set on the top. The boxes top has is four-sided with a small square bit at the very top that holds the round setting for the stone. The workmanship is seen instantly as the ends of the box meet perfectly and the hinge is very well made and is perfect in appearance - not always the case with these silver boxes especially mini boxes. The top of the box has a tiny piece of silver attached that holds the box securely closed (not a lock).

Measurements: 32.61mm | 1.28” wide, 20.22mm | .79” deep without the hinge, 17.73mm | .69” highest point.

Weight: 11.13 Grams.

Circa: Late 1930's - 1940’s.

Condition: Excellent condition, only the normally vintage surface scuffs mostly on the bottom-none detract.

NOTE: We have an even smaller Taxco Mexican silver box with turquoise by Fred (Fredrick) Davis that will be listed here on Ruby Lane soon.
