Another example of stunning Abalone; this vintage Mexican sterling silver necklace with Abalone shell again shows that the hand-picking of materials used by the more exacting artist of the time, in this case really highlights why this shell was often used. 21 slightly concave links of sterling silver with Abalone bezel set on the top of each. The links are connected with small thin rectangle silver pieces that are all solid and show no seams as each is handmade. Signed on the back of one of the links.
Marks: STERLING. NARVAEZ TAXCO MEXICO in a circle around the 925.
Measurements: 15” wearable, links are 15.56mm / .61” long | 10.42mm / .41” wide and 4.41mm / .17” high.
Weight: 29.84 Grams.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with only the usual light surface wear, no defect to be found.
