Fabulous sterling tufa cast bolo by Mission/Hopi Preston Monongye ( 1927-87 ). The central piece features a mythical being holding a staff and carrying what appears to be an abstract bundle that is comprised of ebony, turquoise and bone. Great looking sterling modernist design earrings for pierced ears comprised of 3 hand hammered flat circles hung vertically. The circles move freely and are threaded through one piece of twisted wire. Measuring 1 3/4" long, the circles are 3/4" diameter. These are very light and weigh only 5 grams total. Bold and striking long sterling earrings designed by Karl Gustav Hansen for Hans Hansen of Denmark. Navajo Mark Chee (1914-1981) who was active from the 30's to the 60's, is known for traditional stamp work in thick, heavy silver. This beautiful pair of cuffs is a wonderful example of his expertise with the stamping on each cuff being slightly different.
