A stunning sterling and jelly opals necklace by San Miguel de Allende, Mexico artist Carmen Beckmann who was active from c.1955. This magnificent piece features 27 colorful, vibrant jelly opals placed intricately between silver balls all framed in graduated sized silver rectangular links. The stone backs are open so the light can reflect the gorgeous colors of the opals. Measuring 16 1/2" long, it is 1/2" wide at the center rectangle. It is in fine original condition,no chips or cracks to the stones, has a secure push in clasp and is signed as shown. I would guess that this piece was custom made, so one of a kind. The highest quality craftsmanship and design and terrific opals. Delicate and wonderful.
