Expertly crafted vintage sterling and turquoise pin from the Navajo Arts and Crafts Guild which was formed in 1941 under the auspices of the U.S. Government’s Indian Arts and Crafts Board and the Navajo Tribal authority to help young Navajo silversmiths learn from the masters in order to preserve the quality of classic Navajo silver work.
Jewelry from the Guild is very high quality and often having clean modernist type lines. This pin measures 2 1/2" by 1", weighs 18 grams and is in fine original condition with no chips or cracks to the beautiful stone. Signed as with the Guild hallmark Sterling 925 as shown. Navajo Arts and Crafts Guild jewelry is precise and exacting and highly collectible.
