This is a very early and unusual 990 silver and turquoise cuff bracelet by Hector Aguilar. I have never seen this piece before and have not found it pictured in any of the Mexican silver books so believe it to be quite rare. There are 6 bezel set cabachon turquoise stones framed with vertical lines that alternate with a pattern of incised wavy horizontal lines. The stones are beautiful and appear to be all original. They vary in color from a greenish color turquoise to a more blue color. There are no chips or cracks in the stones. The lines that you see in the photos are matrix. It measures 5 3/4" around in the inside and has a 1 1/4" opening so 7" around total, in the inside bracelet. It is 1/2" wide, weighs 67 grams and is c.1940. Signed for Hector Aguilar as shown. This is an outstanding and fabulous bracelet.
