Featured on page 152 of the catalogue WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE, this is the Gladiator Onyx Cuff and matching earrings by Antonio Pineda, c. 1955-60. The bracelet is a bold, three dimensional, tactile piece that is heavy and solid, weighing 132 grams. It measures 5" around in the inside with a 1 5/8" opening. It is 1 3/4" wide and in fine original condition. There are no ships or cracks to the onyx spikes. The screwback earrings are 7/8" long and also in fine original condition. The bracelet and earrings are both hallmarked with the Antonio crown, 970, Hecho En Mexico and the eagle as shown. This is museum quality Antonio Pineda, truly spectacular in every way.
