I am not sure if this falls under the category of "trench art" or if it is more of a war souvenir but it is cool nonetheless. This is a letter opener with a 1914 miniature iron cross riveted on. I am not sure if this is ivory, horn or something else but I don't see any ivory grain. There is a notch to catch and tear the envelope when opening it. Small metal piece on top acts as a paper clip holding a piece of paper so I guess this could also be used as a bookmark. 10cm overall length. Just a cute little item with a nice look to it.
