1932 dated signed postcard of Beniamino Gigli. Gigli was an Italian opera singer who many consider to be one of the very finest tenors in the recorded history of music. Good sized signature is on bottom part of the photograph. This is from the estate of Edward A. Schaeffer, a family friend who passed away a few years ago. Collecting autographs of public figures from all walks of life was, for him, an obsession/addiction that brought him much happiness while he was still with us. Signed postcard is well mounted in a modern frame with a small metal plate with the singer's name and the years of his lifespan. Included is information from the autograph dealer this was purchased from including the 2001 sale price of $200. Not included (but shown) is the cancelled check from this purchase.
