Luft officer's visor cap. First the issues; There is a good amount of sweat staining to the inside liner. The dirty spot on the top is largely a product of heavy lighting and flash photography. It is there but quite subtle and difficult to see unless really looking for it. The worst negative is that the wing and oak leaf wreath plate has lost its back prongs and is loose. For display it does rest well on top of the chin strap but it is an issue. On the positive side, this hat is a huge size. It is not marked and I hate guessing at sizes but it is easily the largest visor cap I have in stock right now and is loose and floppy on my head whereas they are supposed to perch on top of one's head. In my photos the slack can easily be seen around the dummy head I used for photography. There is a size game played with German visor caps and this example is big. I find no moth nips or fabric damage anywhere. The visor is in great shape and the leather sweatband is complete. Really not a bad cap and has some really significant upside.
