This is a 1944 dated map from the U.S. Army map service. The area is Fountainebleau which is a bit southeast of Paris. The interesting point is that it looks like it was combat used. There are a few different infantry and armored units penciled in. In the northeast corner of the map there is an armored unit with an arrow indicating the line of advance but a ? mark indicating they weren't sure of the unit's identity when the situation was being reviewed. An interesting little snapshot in a likely long forgotten engagement.
