Pair of large, hand-painted French glass vases, made by Legras, a contemporary of Daum of Nancy, France (Legras enameled vases look similar to Daum Nancy vases in their scenic motifs). The large vases are 16 1/2 inches (42 cm) and 16 1/4 inches (41,5 cm) tall respectively (matched pair of hand-made glass items typically have slight variations in sizes). The bottom diameter of each vase is 5 1/2 inches (14 cm). Both blown vases have polished pontils (there is a slight amount of 'pull' on the pontil of one vase, also typical of blown glass objects - see picture). Both vases are in excellent condition (the vases' insides are a little dusty, as expected and there is the slightest age-appropriate fading to the paint- see picture). A similar-decor Legras vase is shown on page 139 of Judith Miller's book, '20th Century Glass' - shown in last picture here for your convenience.
