This is a beautiful set of hand-painted nude glass vases, made by Bohemian Master, Moser, around 1885. The glass is in excellent condition - no chips, cracks or repairs. There is age-appropriate fading/wear to the paint. Each vase is 4 inches (10 cm) tall and 2 1/4 inches (5,5 cm) wide at the top. Though unsigned, the vases are guaranteed to have been made by Moser - a similar vase is shown on page 76 of Mural K. Charon's book, 'Ludwig Moser King of Glass' (shown in last picture here for your convenience). In the words of Charon, "Portrayed here is a tremendous example of his ability to paint portraits or figurals on glass. It is an art form equal to any painting on canvas".
