Crown topped heart-shaped figural buckle of an entwined Dragon and Serpent. Dragon holds a prong set pearl in his mouth and has a green cut stone set as his eye, which appears to be a Peridot. The Serpent has a red cut stone set as his eye, which appears to be a Ruby. The buckle is marked in 4 lines on the "tongue" of the buckle; a right facing Lion, an Anchor and a "G"/STERLING/B504/a Sickle (date mark for 1899). The buckle measures 2 1/2 inches (6.4 cm) long and is 1 1/2 inches (3.8 cm) wide.
