Very large sculpture of a seagull in flight skimming over a wave on the ocean.
The Seagull is done in clear glass, with a hazy, white, layered internal decoration. The wave is a smoky clear glass. The two pieces are epoxied together, as is the case when two pieces had to be made separately, and annealed first, due to the design not being able to be joined when hot.
The piece measures 20 inches (51 cm) tall by 20 inches (51 cm) wide and is 8 inches (20 cm) deep.
The bottom of the piece is signed, Zanetti Licio, in script. This signature was used when the master glassblower, Licio Zanetti, made the piece himself.
Other pieces, designed by Licio but made only under his direction, are signed simply with the uppercase L following the Zanetti
There are no chips, cracks or repairs on this piece.
