Square vase in decorated matte with a floral motif of Wisteria on one side and anemones on the other. Glaze colors are blue, green, purple, red, yellow and white, glaze is heavy in spots, and has some small burst air bubbles (pinhead size). Glaze did pool at base of article, and there are three small glaze pulls at lower edges. No cracks, chips, or repairs. Vase measures 7.5 inches (19 cm) Tall by 5.8 inches (14.7 cm) wide by 2.25 inches (5.7 cm) deep. Vase is marked on bottom with flame mark, XLIV (1944) and shape number 6292, size C, artist cypher: KS (Kitaro Shirayamadani). Circa 1944
