A superb Tanagra woman figure whose body is shown naked standing in a senseous pose with the left leg forward. The piece is resented with wooden base. The purpose of Tanagra figurines was the funerary use, especially after incineration will give way to the custom of burial from 5th Century BC. In the tombs of Boeotia, two or three meters deep, draped and naked women figures of terracotta like this one were found. Material: Terracotta. Date: 3rd Century B.C.
