“Male Nudes” Pastels on paper, 24” x 20” framed, 16.5” x 12” unframed Miguel Valdesberea has studied at Havana’s San Mejandro Academy of Fine Arts and was invited to further his studies at San Fernando School of Fine Arts and Prado Museum in Madrid, Spain. Throughout his 20 year career, Mr. Valdesberea painted in Spain, Italy, England, South America, and the United States. He is renowned for his exquisite portraits of business leaders, government officials, deans of American universities, and clergy. He is also a very well known still life, landscape, flower, murals and nude artist. He has created works in many media, including oil, pastels, watercolor and acrylic. His works have been shown in numerous galleries all over the country as well as the world, from New York to Amsterdam. Mr. Valdesberea has also had his works published in Interior Design and Art in America magazine. His work has also been auctioned at Sotheby’s, New York and he is a listed artist. His portraits include Howard Johnson and family, the presidents of the Federal Reserve Bank, the president of Morgan Stanley, former deans of Dartmouth College and four presidents of Macmester College, Saint Paul, Minnesota and numerous others.
