A rare and collectible sterling silver and enamel golf cigarette case made by a well-renowned silver maker, Padgett & Braham Ltd. This maker has been known to sell some of its exquisite creations through the high-end retailer, Cartier.
The hand-painted enamel cover depicts a lady golfer in 1930s golf attire posed with the golf club swung over her shoulders as if she has just taken her swing.
Condition: Overall in very good condition. No damage to the enamel, some light tarnishing in the corners, some inconsequential scratches and minute bruising on the back cover.
Hallmarks: Hallmarks are found on the inside of the front and back covers. The hallmarks represent c1937, London, sterling silver, the maker, and as well, contains the Coronation hallmark.
