An exquisitely made 3-piece chinese export silver teaset comprising a teapot, a creamer, and a lidded sugar bowl. The three pieces have handles shaped in the bamboo form, and applied decorative birds and insects among prunus. Both lids on the teapot and the sugar bowl have a bamboo-form finial.

Age: Late 19th C to early 20th C

Condition: In good condition except for the top of the lid of the sugar bowl. It looks like it may be missing the applied bamboo leaf decoration (see photos). On the teapot (near the bottom beside the handle there is a small bruising of about 1.2 cm - it is minor and does not detract from the piece (see photos)

Signed: All 3 pieces have the maker's mark of 'HH', a chinese character mark, and 'Hong Kong'

Size: Height of teapot (to top of finial) - approximately 4.75 inches (13 cm); Height of the sugar bowl (to top of finial) - 3.25 inches (8.3 cm); Height of the cream jug - 2.75 inches (7 cm)

Weight (approx): Teapot - 16.1 oz (456 g); Sugar bowl - 7.5 oz (212 g); Cream jug - 5.2 oz (148 g); Combined Weight - 28.8 oz (816 g)
