We are very pleased to be offering you today a very elegant and rare early Victorian solid cast Sterling Silver Table Bell / Dinner Bell of very good weight and beautifully made by one of London's top Silversmith family's Edward, John & William Barnard. The Bell rings loudly because of its very heavy cast construction of the bell and clapper. The Hallmarks are clear as you would expect as they are on the inside of the bell. The Hallmarks consist of the makers mark E J B &W for Edward,John & William Barnard. The Lion which stands for Sterling Silver 925 standard, the Leopards Head for the city of London,Queen Victoria's Head for the reign mark and the fancy date letter O for 1849. The clapper is just Hallmarked with the lion. The condition is very good with no repairs and just normal age and use related wear for a Antique item 168 years old. Please note they are reflection's in our images not damage. Please email us if you require more images.
