We are pleased to be offering you today a very beautiful and genuine Victorian English solid Sterling Silver Chatelaine. The plaque at the top has the hinged waist clip attached to the reverse and also supports the other pierced plaques and the ornate silver chains. The plaques are decorated with scrolls and floral pattern and within these figures of Cupids. There are four suspension chains which terminate in silver bulldog clips for attaching various accessories.The top and largest plaque has a full set of hallmarks with Makers mark SJ for Samuel Jacob, Lion for sterling silver standard,Leopards head for London and date letter T for 1894.The three smaller plaques have just the Lion standard mark for sterling silver and the bottom plaque has the makers mark SJ , Lion and the Leopards head.The ornate sterling silver chains are hallmarked with the Lion sterling standard mark.The condition of this beautiful Chatelaine is very good

The Victorian solid Sterling Silver Chatelaine is in very good condition with just normal age related ware and some tarnish with no repairs or damage the hinged clip is in very good condition.The Chatelaine is fully Hallmarked including each of the panels and the ornate chains and clip.The four bull dog clips are all in working order and the springs that close to hold items are working well.
