We are pleased to be offering you today a very beautiful and unusual Late 19th Century Early 20th Century ( Qing Dynasty ) Chinese export silver belt and buckle which is made of 10 solid fan shaped panels plus two fan shaped panels that make the buckle. The two oval shaped panels are made from or made to look like miniature coins from the time of the Qing Emperor Guangxu plus there is a Chinese Character to the center.Emperor Guangxu reigned from 1871 to 1908. Each of the other Fan shaped panels have Chinese Characters and a very loose translation is long life ,Country will last for ever, Lots of money, Lots of flowers, four spring seasons spring time flowers forever, trees in the Mountains are like jade. There is on the reverse of the belt on the hook of the buckle a Chinese Character mark for the maker or shop which we show in our images.
