We are offering you today a Fantastic Antique solid 830 standard silver Pocket Watch Chatelaine by David Andersen of Norway. It is of the finest quality and has been beautifully made and decorated in the Dragestil (Dragon Style) which was a Scandinavian form of Arts and Craft's using Viking and medieval designs including Celtic Knots and Dragon motifs. The Dragestil Style originated in Norway and was widely used from 1880 to 1910. The Pocket Watch Chatelaine we are showing you today is beautifully decorated with stylized Dragon heads and Celtic Knots and has 4 silver keys and a Seal supported from the bottom panel of the Chatelaine. The top of the Chatelaine has a bulldog type silver Clip to attach the pocket watch to the Chatelaine. On the reverse there is a full set of makers marks used by David Anderson between 1888 and 1925 which includes the makers name and the silver standard 830 which was the standard at the time.I would date the the chatelaine to circa 1900 or earlier making this a very early piece of David Andersen's work and a rare example of his work as i have not been able to find another example of a Pocket watch Chatelaine by this maker.
Condition is excellent no damage no repairs no issues just normal wear you would expect for a item of its age and use and some tarnish which i have not cleaned as i personally like the patina but could easily be cleaned if you so wish.
