From a Woodstock, Illinois estate
A late Ming dynasty Wanli period blue and white jar, drawn with typical late Ming freedom and charm, and features a landscape with a bird surrounded by chrysanthemum sprigs. The thick, glassy glaze is typical for the period.
Condition: The mouth rim has been ground down, and the bottom drilled with a lamp hole. The surface shows some age wear. The wood lid is damaged at the center.
