Description: a charming little covered Chinese export porcelain tureen, dating to the 1750 - 60s Qianlong period, painted with underglaze cobalt blue in the Canton "willow" pattern, and decorated with overglaze famille rose enamels. Two oxheads protrude from the side, while the lid handle is shaped like a mellon stem. The sides are painted with scenes from the Western Chamber.
