Very rare and complete Burmese wooden crowned Buddha or sometimes known as 'King Buddha's sitting in Mara Vijaya (calling the earth to witness) posture on double lotus base with calm facial expression, wearing diadem-crowns and ornaments of kings instead of ordinary monk's robes, original lacquered and gilding remaining.
Crowned Buddha represents the Buddha's role as a universal sovereign.
Age: Burma, Pagan Period, 14th Century
