Burmese paper mache' crowned Buddha or sometimes known as 'King Buddha's sitting in Mara Vijaya (calling the earth to witness) posture on double base, wearing diadem-crowns and ornaments of kings instead of ordinary monk's robes, with lacquered and gilding remain in good condition.

Crowned Buddha represents the Buddha's role as a universal sovereign.

Age: Burma, Early Mandalay Period, Early 19th Century
Measurement: Height 92.5 C.M. / Width 63 C.M.
