Burmese alabaster Buddha sitting in Mara Vijaya (calling the earth to witness) posture on a base, with meditative facial expression and original lacquered remaining.

Top of the head is a stupa-shaped "flame" or called usnisa, symbol of the realization of Nirvana or indicative of supreme knowledge.

Age: Burma, Shan Period, 17th Century
Measurement: Height 101.5 C.M. / Width 50 C.M. (size excluding black stand)
