Pair of antique large Chinese cloisonne horses. The horses of red tones divided by wires with each animal standing on a raised foreleg. Decorated on the body, legs and head with cropped manes. The blazes on the heads coloured white, as well as just above the hoofs. The tails are removable. The belly has a round aperture. Size: Each horse is approximately 20" in length by x 4-1/2" in width x 14-3/4" high Age: Qing Dynasty 19th Century Provenance: By descent from the family of Robert P. Fleming (1801-1874), Pennsylvania Senator in 1836 and 1839. Condition: Overall in good condition. The ear tip on one is bent down and one of the hoofs is bent and there is some pitting in the cloisonne, as well as the wires, manes, tails and hoofs are tarnished.
