Vintage European silver and enamel Tie bar.
This tie bar features a .800 siver & enamel plaque with the name of O. Ammergau and a cross draped with a schroud symbolising that "Christ has risen" and a tie bar of .835 silver. The tie bar is 1 3/4" wide and the plaque is 3/4" high. Ober Ammergau is a town in Beveria, Germany. In the 16 hundreds, the town bowed that if God would spare them from the effects of the Bubonic plague that was ravaging the Region, they would perform a play every ten years deflecting the life and death of Jesus. The first play was perform in 1634. This tie bar is in fine condition!!!
