An unusual firing dram with an ovoid bowl engraved with a floral border above an opaque white twist stem made up of a spiral lace twist interspersed between a pair of spiral tapes standing on a thick conical firing foot. Ovoid bowls are not often found on opaque twist firing glasses: the preferred bowl shapes are round funnel or ogee shape. The style of engraving suggests the glass is towards the end of the opaque twist period. The glass is made of lovely greyish, oily metal and feels quite substantial in the hand.

Height 4⅜ inches;
Bowl diameter 2 inches;
Foot diameter 2⅞ inches.

In excellent original condition with the expected fairly heavy wear to the underside of the foot found on firing glasses.
